Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Patrice. By messaging Patrice on WhatsApp or signing in to the Vault, you accept them.

1. Who you are contracting with

Patrice is a product of Alpha Lab Technology. Alpha Lab Technology is a subsidiary of Genesis Global Investment LLC, its parent company. In these documents “we”, “us” and “our” mean Alpha Lab Technology, acting as part of the Genesis Global Investment LLC group.

2. The service

Patrice is a business assistant you use through WhatsApp and a companion web dashboard (the “Vault”). It records income and expenses, keeps customer records, drafts and sends documents such as invoices, quotes, receipts and contracts, reads documents you send it, and answers questions about your own records.

Patrice is a record-keeping and drafting tool. It is not an accountant, lawyer, tax adviser or bank, and its output is not professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing anything before you send it to a third party or file it with an authority.

3. Your account

You must give accurate business and contact details and keep them current. Access is tied to the WhatsApp numbers and the email address you register. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by staff you invite, and for removing people who no longer work with you.

You must be legally able to enter into a contract and to operate the business you register.

4. Trial and fees

New businesses get a free trial period, after which a subscription fee applies. Pricing, the trial length and any optional add-ons (such as a dedicated WhatsApp business number) are described on our pricing page and in the Billing & Refunds document, which forms part of these terms.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you send us: messages, voice notes, photos, documents and the records created from them. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and display that content so the service can work for you, and to have our service providers do the same on our behalf.

6. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use document and WhatsApp’s own terms and business policies. We may suspend accounts that break those rules, that put the messaging channel at risk, or that we are required to suspend by a provider or authority.

7. Third-party services

Patrice depends on services we do not control, including WhatsApp (Meta), our cloud and database hosting, and the AI providers that generate responses. Their availability, approval decisions and policy changes can affect the service. Where you connect an optional account such as Google Calendar or Gmail, that connection is governed by the provider’s terms as well as ours, and you can disconnect it at any time.

8. Automated output

Responses, drafts, extracted figures and reports are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Money entries can be reversed with an undo instruction for a short window after they are recorded. Check important numbers, dates and obligations yourself before relying on them.

9. Availability

We work to keep the service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, provider outages and network problems can interrupt it.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Patrice at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account for non-payment, for breach of these terms, or where continuing would expose us or other users to legal or security risk. On closure we stop processing new records and delete or de-identify your data in line with the Privacy Policy, unless we must keep it by law.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be announced in the Vault or by message before they take effect. Continuing to use Patrice after that means you accept the updated terms.

13. Contact
